Born & Bread: The story behind the picture
The name "Born & Bread Bakery" pays tribute to an amazing family history of bakers and bakeries spanning four generations.
Brad's great-grandfather Herb opened his bakery in Rockhampton in 1930. Herb's son Guil Walker (Brad's grandfather) worked in his father's bakery until 1965 when he moved his family to Mackay to manage a bakery there. Brad's parents, Rob and Helen Reeves, have owned and run a number of bakeries in Toowoomba.
When you visit the bakery you will see a picture on the wall showing early generations of Brad's family in the bakehouse. Brad and Alison Reeves both grew up in Toowoomba and started the business in 2003.
They are proud to provide you with the same remarkable quality, service and value that generations of local families have enjoyed throughout this wonderful family history.
